Who are we
Martin Roche founded Anchor Reputation Management in 2001. Originally a business journalist,
he has worked in and for local authorities and development agencies and he spent 15 years at board level with Chime Communications
plc, the UK's No1 communications consultancy. Whilst specialising in inward investment, economic development and place marketing,
he also worked with clients on mergers & acquisitions, privatisations, EU referenda, corporate financial services, business
advisory services, public infrastructure, train leasing, science and technology marketing and on sensitive planning and
development issues. His clients have included the Welsh Development Agency, the cities of Glasgow, Swansea and Cardiff, South
Glamorgan County Council, London Docklands, the governments of Malta and Guernsey, KPMG, Nomura PFG, Goldman Sachs, NPI, AEA
Technology, Hilton International, Robert Bosch, Ansaldo, Angel Trains and Annington Homes.
He is a member of the Marketing Society, and of the Institute of Public Relations. He is a founding member of Folkestone Artists
Co-operative and a Trustee of Canterbury Steiner School. Educated at the University of Aberdeen (MA), he regularly advises the
Principal and Vice-Chancellor on a pro bono basis. He is also a Common Purpose graduate. From 2005 to 2007 he was director of
Folkestone Enterprise Gateway.
